Obtaining Suse Linux Professional 9.1
I bought it 1 year ago, but U can download Suse linux personal and make an upgrade to professional
Installing
Nothing of difficoult, just remember to add this package in software section:
make
gcc
gcc++
kmix
kdenetwork3
Setting up additional features for Suse Linux Professional 9.1
download ipw2200 driver here. If U don't know how to install this driver, I wrote a little simple guide here
download and install the package powersave-0.8.19.13-0.1.i586.rpm and kpowersave-0.3.8-3.1.i586.rpm from one of suse official mirror, in this way the acpi works better.
Unresolved issues
Multimedia Slot doesn't work, I didn't find any driver for it. If U find a way to make it work, please contact me
Configuration Files
To use multimedia buttons U need to create and edit the file xmodmap. this is mine.
cd /home/youru ser/.kde/Autostart
touch .xmodmap
pico xmodmap
copy the text here and save and exit
now type: xmodmap .xmodmap
then configure shortcuts kde.
I use only kde as window manager and the configuration for special buttons is only for it.
